New Quote! Living life without regrets...my plan!

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.!"
Mark Twain

“I would rather regret the things that I have done than
the things that I have not”
Lucille Ball

2 very different people, with 2 very similiar ideas about life, living and regrets.

After my latest blog, I really thought long and hard about what to do about my own life. What part of my life should I change, which part is the key? That's when I thought about the serenity prayer, my all time favorite. "Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the diference."

If I'm making the choice to change my life, doing that means I have to let some things go. Those things are not in my power to change, and they will cause me harm by dwelling on them further. Not letting them go means letting someone/something else run my life, to take it over. I can't let that happen!

Another thing I need to do is take control over my life again, to change the things I can. Because of how things are at work, I decided to start taking a chance even in that department. It might be a little risky, but it's a risk I need to take. I saw a course months ago, and was instantly interested, but didn't have the guts to go for it. I didn't trust my instincts, and it didn't seem like a safe choice at the time, so I threw the info away and tried to forget about it. But I recently started wondering if I should give it a shot. If I don't like it, if I'm not good at it, if it turns out to be a total catastrophe, at least I tried. I don't want to look back at this years from now, wishing I had taken a chance. Regretting not living my life to the fullest.

I'm also wondering if fate had a hand in this, if I'd be ignoring countless signals that it's time for me to take a chance on something, on this. Maybe I have been so blind, so scared that I've missed all these so obvious messages. Maybe all the setbacks weren't setbacks, maybe they were nudges, nudges trying to get me in the right flow. And here I am ignoring them, except to complain about how unfair life is. Silly me...

Oh, by the way...the courses I'm looking into are in travel/turism!
